5x115 Bolt Pattern Wheels
The 5x115 bolt pattern uses five lug holes spaced across a 115mm circle, and it's most familiar to drivers of modern American performance and full-size cars. This page is for owners shopping aftermarket wheels who want to confirm fitment before they buy and see which builds actually work on their car.
What to know
5x115 sits between the common 5x114.3 and 5x120 patterns, so it is not interchangeable with either despite the close numbers — the small difference in spacing is enough to prevent the lugs from seating properly. Most 5x115 vehicles are heavier rear- and all-wheel-drive platforms, which means load rating and proper centering matter as much as the lug count.
For the look, wider rear-biased setups and a moderate negative offset fill the arches without rubbing on these larger bodies. Always verify three things together before ordering: bolt pattern, center bore, and wheel size (diameter, width, and offset). A wheel that clears the pattern can still fail on bore or offset.

Popular brands
Several wheel makers offer 5x115 options worth comparing. Rotiform brings distinctive cast and forged designs that suit larger sedans and coupes. BBS is the benchmark for lightweight motorsport-derived construction. Avant Garde leans toward concave luxury-performance fitments, while Aodhan and ESR cover aggressive looks at a more accessible price.

Frequently asked questions
Is 5x115 the same as 5x114.3? No. The patterns differ by less than a millimeter per spacing, but that gap prevents proper lug seating. Use only wheels listed as 5x115, or a hub-centric adapter if you must run another pattern.
Do I need hub-centric rings? If the wheel's bore is larger than your hub, yes. Rings center the wheel on the hub and prevent vibration; the lugs alone should not carry the centering load.
How do I confirm a wheel fits my car? Match the bolt pattern, then check that the center bore equals or exceeds your hub diameter, and confirm the diameter, width, and offset clear your brakes and fenders.
